Google Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL specifications
As always, Google has packed its Pixel smartphones with the top-notch specifications and some very interesting camera features. Google Pixel 4 has a 5.7-inch full-HD+ OLED Smooth display that comes with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Sometimes, the refresh rate automatically adjusts to 60Hz in order to optimize the battery life of the device. The Pixel 4 XL, on the other hand, comes with a 6.3-inch Quad HD display. It is worth noticing that Pixel 4’s top bezel has a number of sensors including a new feature called the Motion Sense. With this, users will be able to control the Pixel 4 smartphone using hand gestures without even touching the device. The company says that it has used its Project Soli technology to achieve this. Motion Sense will enable users to perform various actions like decline an incoming call or change songs on their handset just by waving their hand close to the display of the Pixel 4 smartphone. Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, which is one among the most powerful chipsets in the market and promise a very smooth performance. The handsets come with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. For imaging duties, the devices sport a dual rear camera setup with a 12MP primary lens and a 16MP telephoto portrait sensor that offers a 2x zoom by using optical as well as digital focus. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera that has support for 1080p video resolution and facial unlock.
Besides this, it is also worth noticing that Google has also added new software upgrades to some of its existing modes. For instance, the popular Night Sight mode that Google introduced last year has now got a long-exposure astrophotography feature. Other than this, the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones also come with a new Recorder app that transcribes whatever the user is saying to Google’s speech recognition software. According to the company, this process is limited to the device itself and the smartphones do not require the help of the cloud to do this.
